My students need more technology options to allow them to utilize educational programs. iPads have a friendly interface and a variety of apps my students can use to reinforce and grow in both reading and math.
My students are hard-working, passionate learners who strive to work past what is "hard" and take those moments of struggle as opportunities to grow. In our class, we have a motto "I can do hard things". If any student says that something is hard, the whole class chants "...but I can do hard things". Additionally, when any student says "I can't do __" a classroom rule is that they have to put the word "yet" behind it. My class has truly embraced this attitude and growth mindset and I am excited to see where this year will take us!
My Project
All students come to the classroom at varying levels and skills. Technology comes second only to teachers in being able to help push them to that next level with immediate response time so they can move according to their own pace. I'd like to give my students that opportunity for differentiation while I am working with other groups so all students are constantly engaged and growing.

Students will be using the iPads during Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies activities during both center rotations or in small groups during research projects.
