Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have a number of classrooms with broken headphones that are essential for using with ipads and laptops. These will replace some of those that are not working or missing pieces.
Having the highest percentage of Special Education students at an elementary school in our district comes with many challenges.
One being sensory sensitivities for a number of students. The noise cancelling headphones will allow those students to integrate into general education settings with ease.
With so many students, our cafeteria often gets extremely loud. The Yacker Tracker will give a visual for students to be able to see just how loud they are, and allow them to self-correct their noise levels.
