My students are first grade students at a high performing Chicago Public School.
The students come from all over the city and are from all different socioeconomic backgrounds. We are considered to be a "technology school." However, we barely have any technology in the building.
My Project
I will be able to expand the learning experience and keep all students engaged. The tablets will make learning fun using diverse methods of instruction. The educational apps will help students practice skills in all subject areas. It is also beneficial for saving paper and helping the environment. The possibilities are endless with virtual field trips and interactive maps once we get these tablets. These tablets will help to widen the students' lens on many things including technology. Once I receive these tablets, I will be able to work with small groups of students while other students are actively engaged in learning on these tablets.
This project will help to make students technologically savvy in a world that is inundated with technology.
