My Students

I believe all children have the ability to be leaders. In my classroom students are encouraged to explore their gifts and talents through projects and hands-on activities.

My students are in 4th grade and fabulous!

They are strong and independent and eager to be at school. Most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds with very little to call their own. I teach English Language Learners, with many of them knowing little to no English, but come to me everyday with a smile! My school is a Title 1 school located in a suburb of Charleston, SC. It is a school that has been around for 25+ years and struggles with meeting the needs of teachers and students due to budget cuts. We may not have all the latest technology and a shiny/fancy school.. but we have HUGE hearts and our #1 priority comes down to meeting the needs of ALL of our students.

My Project

I encourage creativity in my classroom! I love to see students draw, write, create PowerPoints, etc. If we are able to get this printer and color ink one of the things it would allow my students to do is fully complete "The Writing Process".. not only writing the stories.. but typing, printing and publishing them as well! I also want to introduce my students to designing pamphlets, brochures and posters related to science and social studies standards and having a printer will allow my students to do just that! All in all, it will allow students to have a sense of pride in their work - they will be able to create, design, print, publish just about anything they set their heart/mind to!

This printer will help out my classroom so much!

Students will be more than excited to take home and keep the stories and projects that they print! They will also gain confidence in their writing when they take home their printed works to show mom and dad! Thank you for your donation to help my incredibly amazing fourth graders!
