Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students from Reno are part of a Special Education program called Social Intervention Program. My students require a lot of support with their academics and need many interventions to help them access their curriculum in their general education courses. Many of my students come from low socio-economic homes and do not have consistent access to technology.
My Project
My students will be able to access their general education classes and curriculum from their case managers classroom. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home and need a space and time to work on their homework, study for tests, and complete assignments online.
My goal is provide my students with access to technology in my classroom which they would normally not have access to.
My students are in a real need for an equitable classroom environment where their SES status does not affect their access to school and or education.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
