This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember how hard it was to keep up with your teacher's notes, as she burned through countless pieces of chalk ? What about your eyes moving across the overly Xeroxed copies? My students will greatly benefit from having the use of an Elmo document camera.
My students are eager learners.
They are open to new and different styles of learning. Their lights of educational desire flicker when learning becomes an experience instead of a chalked filled task. We are a class compromised of several types of learners. We are an inclusion class where two thirds of the students are general education and one third special education and Second language learners. We are in a high need, high poverty, school with limited technological resources.
My Project
This Elmo document camera would mean a lot to our class. Being able to go Online and share on the spot would make lessons come alive and be more organic. There are many times when a student will have a thought or a question related to the lesson and we have to put off addressing the question until show all students. This will make it easy to display a text or visual quickly at the precise time when it is needed.
My students would so greatly benefit from an Elmo document camera to enhance their learning experiences.
The more technologically savvy students become, the more likely they will receive a lesson for life.
