it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All students are special and deserve a good education!
This unique group of students that I am serving are have great needs, live in high poverty, but are eager to learn.
They struggle every day trying to overcome and receive their basic needs. They live in one of the poorest neighborhoods in the city and state. They are funny, sweet, and hopeful. These students are unfortunately at-risk due to the high crime, poverty, homelessness, unemployment, poor health, poor fitness, and poor nutrition, patiently waiting for them outside of the school gates. They need extra attention and nurturing. They need you.
My students come from many countries, so they are also learning the English language and customs of this wonderful country.
My Project
We only have one iPad in our classroom. Having another iPad with an Apple pencil in the classroom will help to engage and motivate all the students in learning through technology. The students will be able to use educational apps that improve their reading, writing, and math skills. iPads will also enhance their ability to closely focus on the students' needs and one-on-one instruction during literacy and math center times.
Please help make a difference with technology for my students.
These iPads will help my students with their reading, math, language acquisition and writing skills. It will also increase confidence, motivation, student achievement, and promote a love of learning! Please help meet the needs of my diverse learners! Our students need an extra iPad, an Apple pencil and case to enhance the literacy and math center activities.
