Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with special needs students and this year they will be taking their courses in the community. They will be job training for half of the school day in a community business. Having access to a small laptop can help us complete assignments in the community.
A laptop and mouse will help them specifically find methods to manage their stress.
These tools will help them by using relaxation apps throughout the day to help manage their stress.
They will learn how to reduce their anxiety through breathing exercises, self-care, and building resilience. My main goal for this project is to ease my students' stress.
Technology grants them access and offers ways to take brief breaks by listening to calming sounds or enjoy a favorite song, which make a huge difference in their ability to cope and continued learning.
