Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are overachievers whose love for learning and technology is on display in the classroom daily. My students are innovative problem solvers with a passion for learning and push themselves to achieve at their highest level both athletically and academically.

My students are the quintessential collaborators and real world problem solvers of their generation.

They love to be challenged beyond their disabilities and look at adversity as a way of growing both mentally and academically. My students' will to find a way to succeed is inspiring and contagious. Daily, they motivate me to try harder, work longer, and persevere in spite of the obstacles that teaching and living in an inner city location presents.

My Project

Having the use of a document camera would give my students a new world of opportunity to reinforce their learning. My students would be able to display paper printouts, slides and transparencies. Display text and/or photos from a book. Display three-dimensional objects. Display and save "live" images. Display in color or black and white.

The document camera would also encourage my to show off their learning in a multi-media format.

My students would pay better attention to lessons. The document camera would give the students the ability to view materials closely by zooming in and out and focusing learning on specific areas of images, maps, and students responses.
