I want my art students to experience the digital age! I teach high school art in a very low-income district. Extremely limited funding makes classroom technology hard to come by.
I have been so lucky to begin acquiring some technology for my art classes through DonorsChoose and the generosity of so many people. I have a laptop and digital projector, and now I want to include a digital input tablet for my students to use when creating digital drawings.
I need a digital input tablet to connect to my computer for use with demonstrations, and also for my students to experience what it's like to create art digitally. Students need to be exposed to as much technology as possible to prepare them for higher education and for the workforce. Even something as simple as digital drawing will give them a better understanding of how technology can be applied to solve problems and express ideas.
Please consider supporting this project. My art classes are really changing due to the technology I have already received from donors like you. My students are more engaged and interested, and as a teacher I can utilize my laptop and projector to really bring the world of art up-close for my students. With a digital input tablet, I can fully integrate the computer and projector into the creative process for my students.
