This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach an amazing second grade class at Frank C. Martin K-8 Center, which is an IB magnet school. My students thrive on technology and are always eager to learn. The purchase of iPads will definitely increase student engagement.
Technology is the present and future of education!
Technology is all around us and changing the way students learn. Just think about how excited you were the first time you used technology... Now imagine the enthusiasm of a second grader learning something using an iPad. From a teachers point of view I see... 100% STUDENT ENGAGEMENT!
My Project
The implementation of six (6) iPads in the classroom will provide a fun and exciting learning environment. Students will cooperatively use the iPads during centers, small group instruction and peer learning. Using educational apps will not only reinforce the skills learned, but make tasks that students may normally find difficult seem more interesting.
Additionally, the covers will be used to protect the iPads from wear and tear.
By helping our class reach our goal, your are aiding our students in taking a positive and active role in their learning.
