This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Using technology is a required component of our school’s curriculum. Students in my First Grade class use technology for math, science, and literacy lessons, but it also comes with some challenges. The cords and adapters from the laptops that my students use daily get tangled and messy! Time is of essence in a school day and much time gets lost when we must untangle cords. We want to use our time efficiently.
The charging stations that I am requesting will secure our laptops and keep cords & adapters in place, while at the same time cut clutter and save time as students focus on their computer-based learning programs.
I have submitted projects for charging stations in the past, but they did not get funded. I am hoping for a fully funded project this school year. These charging stations will ensure that we have a specific space dedicated to charging devices and keep the clutter in check. Plus, we will have no more piling up of laptops. A clutter-free classroom helps everyone save time and work with ease!
