My Students
This year my classroom is a general education classroom with students from backgrounds from around the world. Russia, Cuba, and Brazil just to name the few. Although the classroom is "general" education I have students with many different educational needs that need to be met and with many different learning styles! Some students are advanced readers, while other are about average or still emerging. Some students are learning English for the first time and some are native English speakers. The diversity is vast and I would like to have many tools in my classroom to cater to each individual child.
My Project
The diverse backgrounds and needs of my students require hands on learning combined with today's technology to help the students learn, engage and grow at their own pace. I-pads are a fun interactive tools to help children of all levels get involved and work at a pace that is right for them. The I-pads will be used in groups of four students during my differentiated instruction time. Having this type of technology in the classroom I believe will help assist the students in meeting their reading and math goals. I'm looking forward to bringing this exciting technology into my classroom.
