A typical day in my class involves active learning. I want my students to be independent thinkers by the end of the year. My biggest challenge I face is short attention spans. My favorite quote,The best Teachers show you where to Look but don't tell you what you see. This speaks to academic growth.
My students are in 6th -8th Autistic Support.
They are a lively group of students who love to learn new things. The students in my class are interested in politics and currents events. This is why the use of technology is highly important to our educational program. I would describe my school as busy, with supportive teachers who want the best for all students.
My Project
My students will use the material to complete research for science, social studies, and play educational games. This year we have researched famous African Americans for Black History Month, U.S. Presidents, Insects, and other countries. I would like to keep my students interested in doing research to broaden their horizons.
The donation of two extra tablets would allow my students to research topics of interest , assigned topics, and work on educational games .
This donation will enhance the higher order learning I strive to push my students towards.
