This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Portable technology is becoming more and more essential in today's educational world and the career world. Most of the students in our community are unable to afford a portable tablet, as a result they will not have the same opportunity to learn how to use this technology.
Our school is an inner city school in a major urban area of California.
My students live in a high poverty location. Most of the students that I teach speak two languages, English and Spanish. In addition, all of the students I teach get free school lunch. They live in a hard neighborhood, but they love coming to school. The classroom is where the playing field can be leveled. Students, with the donations given, can be given a chance to afford the same opportunities as other students in more affluent neighborhoods and homes.
My Project
Tablets are the future of technology and every student across this nation needs to be able to experience this technology. iPads offer the power of bigger computers at a size that is much smaller and easier to handle. This iPad will enhance our curriculum by providing students with the much needed technology to do research and presentations in a technologically enhanced and visually stunning format.
My students will be inspired to engage their learning by using technology in the classroom.
It will be used to help every student in my classroom and will further help some of my English language learners whose English is very limited see the text that we are reading come to life. My students need your help to experience technology first hand with this tablet
