This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very tech savvy and seem to learn faster and retain information better with the use of technology. We have a large Latino community and technology and learning programs seem to work very well with our students. With lots of funding going down and working in a low income community, our students have a hard time accessing a computer at home, so the best way to access a computer would be at school. We want to help our students as much as possible, so they can have a better future.

My Project

Our students have had issues with reading tests in the past couple of years. My having extra Chromebooks in our school that they can access and use our reading programs will help them increase their reading scores. We have a lot of classrooms that are not up to date with technology. Mainly because of lack of funds in the past years, technology has been put to the side. By starting one classroom at a time or having special education students have more prep time for tests, it will increase their scores.

Today's youth is surrounded by technology and what a better way to help increase test scores in reading than by using technology to prepare them.

Our plan is to keep making our school better by having more tools and resources to provide this technology savvy generation with a better education.
