This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are some of my favorite little human beings! They come to school every single day with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. As a Title I school, the majority of my students are on free or reduced lunch.
Many don't have the materials necessary to take on the school day.
I strive to find ways to make my classroom feel like home and provide every student with what they need to be successful today and in the future.
My Project
My students are young and eager to learn about everything in the world around them. The majority of them do not have technology at home and they come to school every day eager to learn more. Currently, we do not have a full set of working laptops in our classroom. The ones we do have are slow or have keyboard pieces missing from them. Having new laptops will benefit my students in their centers and allow them to pursue problem based learning in math and science. I have also been incorporating the google coding activities in my classroom and the kids absolutely love this addition of computer science in our classroom. I would like to teach them more about coding by using a coding bot and board games in order to best prepare them for their future.
