This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Not only do students love using technology in their learning, but today's jobs require technical skills. These computers will give the students the ability to complete research projects, make presentations, and complete design projects for their technical theatre requirements. In addition, they will have access to word processing tools, sound editing tools, and lighting design tools.

Currently, most of my students must use their personal cell phones to complete the technical components of our classwork.

This makes the work quite difficult. When I can borrow laptops, the students are more productive and their work is better. I am asking for ten laptops and a charging station, which will provide laptops for almost half of the students. As students frequently work in small groups or pairs, this will ensure a laptop for each small group.
