Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am currently navigating my way around in a virtual classroom. I am learning how to implement new programs and finding new and creative ways to engage all of my students. My classroom this year has 22 enthusiastic learners, each is on a different learning level but all very eager to learn and it is my responsibility to reach all of these learners.
Our learners have been coming to school virtually since March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While many people may think that learning from home would have its advantages, many of our learners still face hardships they are attending class in the same room with other family members and it can create a very distracting atmosphere making it hard for them to retain and process the information they are getting throughout the day.
Our classroom is a safe place where all of my students are encouraged to be themselves and have fun while learning. Because of this, they look forward to coming to school every day.

My Project
This project will be used to help me provide my students with digital resources that they can use both in and out of our virtual classroom.
Boom Cards and Digital Slides are great tools that I can provide to my students to help reinforce the lessons that we are completing throughout our day.
Many of my students and their families have reached out to my to provide them with resources that they can use after school is finished for the day and this will help me provide tools for them.
I have spent many hours converting worksheets that I already own to help my students but they can sometimes become hard to complete because they aren't formatted to use in a digital platform and because of the confusion they will often not get completed. These programs that are already designed to use digitally will help to eliminate that problem for my students.
