Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Using headphones during science instruction will help every students in my classroom. At the moment I have zero working headphones. I have not been able to utilize the read aloud books that come with my science curriculum. I am trying to provide every opportunity possible for learning and to reinforce science content.
One group that will benefit most is my newcomers.
I am thinking of my two Spanish only speaking students. I intent to provide electronic science lessons along with read aloud books in Spanish for them. At the moment I have to borrow headphones or ask them to listen to the lesson in a quiet place in the classroom.
In addition, I will be able to provide core content to my struggling readers because they would be able to access the read aloud as well. My students are exceptional in every way but what I admire most is their willingness to give their best each and every day.
