This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My preschool students are children who are three to five years of age. My school is in sunny California where children come to school each morning ready to learn and grow! There's never a dull moment in our class. My students are busy bees moving from one interest area to another. They're eager to learn, explore, engage and experiment with the instructional materials and centers I set up for them. My students need instructional materials to engage with to foster their interest in technology, literacy, math, science, art and engineering. They also, need instructional materials to support their social and emotional learning, to help them grow into well rounded individuals. Every single one of my students deserves a fair chance at having his or her potential nurtured and fully developed. My little ones have an insatiable curiosity, that's why it's important for me to have a class with a variety of instructional materials to meet their educational needs.
My Project
Technology is one of the fields that drives the economy of our present time, that's why it's important for me to integrate technology based learning in my classroom. My students need two tablets to add to our technology interest area in order to support technology learning for all. There's 35 students in our Preschool Collaborative Classroom and currently we only have 3 tablets for the children to engage with. We need more tablets to give more students the opportunity to engage in learning alphabet letters, numbers and shapes. My students will become technology adept by engaging with the tablets and becoming familiar with the use of a variety of educational applications, games and toys. My students also, need the masking tape rolls to label their nap time cots with their name. They will learn to identify their name by reading their name on their sleeping cot.
