it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is filled with a group of marvelous and magnificent third graders. They come to school every day ready to learn something different from the day before. Their excitement to learn new things is a teacher’s dream come true. When a child is excited about learning, it creates a successful learning environment.
Students retain more information if they are interested in the content.
Engagement and participation are essential parts of a successful classroom. I have noticed over the years that my students are most engaged when technology is involved. I would like to find a way to utilize their love for technology and make learning fun.
My Project
Technology is a must have in today's society. Students get very excited when technology is brought into the classroom. These computers will give my students the opportunity to make learning fun. The district has funded many computer programs for the students but, the lack of computers limits the number of students that can log on daily. These computers will be used to reinforce and improve the learning in the classroom. Classroom are not just pencil and paper any more. Students need to be able to be creative in their thinking. The computers will allow students to work on programs that not on engage them but challenges them as well. Students will use it for research, enrichment, creating documents, creating their learning portfolio, and to watch videos of teacher lead lessons. This will help individualize their learning as they can work at their own pace on the things they need to be successful. It also promotes accountability. Students take responsibility for their learning. I do not have to ask students to go complete their work on the computer because they come as me. I get so excited to see students excited about their learning.
