This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a diverse group of students who come enthusiastic and excited to learn. A typical day in my classroom consists of many hands-on activities for Science and Social Studies and Math Centers. I have two groups of students that I see daily. My morning classes are my ELL learners, which consist of 25 students. My afternoon class are my E.F.L. learners and consists of 18 students. Both classes are so different and unique.
As a teacher in a low-income district, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am seeking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
The Chromebooks will help engage students with interactive lessons and prepare them for an increasingly digital world. I am requesting four Chromebooks that will be used every single day. I teach Math, Science and Social Studies to first-grade students (my babies).
The new technology will be used to help the students explore new concepts.
They will also be used to help the students meet their weekly requirements of online home learning. I want to be able to provide my students with access to the greatest learning tools available. This will provide them with a great platform to be able to learn more efficiently than before.
