My Students
A typical day in my classroom or classrooms is filled with art and art history. My days are filled with kindergarten through fifth grade. I am a traveling art teacher. I visit 10 schools per year and see about 500 hundred students per week.
My students are very creative.
I am amazed every day at what they say and create. The students I see give me the best greetings. This is one of my favorite parts of the day. The students I see truly enjoy learning about art and being creative. I see about 5 schools per week,and every school I consider home. Each year I am able to build great teacher-student relationships. I love my job!
My Project
My students need a Surface Pro 3 with cover. The Surface Pro will provide visual images and video and knowledge about art and culture. Artists can talk about their lives and show the pieces of art that made them famous. We will discuss techniques from professional arts and look at visuals of priceless works of art. They will be able to visit museums they may never see on virtual tours. I can draw examples and project them to keep students engaged. All my schools are getting Wifi so Internet access will be available. Technology in my classroom will improve student knowledge through visuals and video of techniques in all the art forms. To get the full understanding, students need more visuals and videos.
The Surface technology will provide all the art backup I need.
I want to be the best teacher I can be, and the Surface technology will make my classroom better. I want to make sure my students have every avenue to understanding.
This tablet project is very important simply because my students are living in a classroom that is built for the Stone Ages.
My students need better learning resources. This project can offer that. With this tablet, I guarantee student understanding will be off the charts with better visuals and videos about famous artists and museums. With this tablet, I can take my students on trips right in the classroom. My current school budget is cut very thin, and this project is just one tiny step.
