Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Education is changing every day, and so are the interests of our students. Students in our classroom like to read about many different topics: superheroes, underwater sea creatures, outer-space, history change-makers and more! These Galaxy tabs and headphones will allow for our classroom to have a digital media center where students can use devices to read and research topics that they are passionate about.
Students who have choice in what they read and research form learning habits that help them become life long learners and lovers of reading.
These students have an excitement and love for reading and learning. Helping students learn that they have choice in their learning helps them feel like reading is fun, and this helps build strong readers.
Digital books are also very beneficial for struggling readers, as they have audio features, and images that help support students as they read.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
