We live in a world where technology is at the forefront of everything. Students are now using technology to further their education, and enhance their classroom learning. With the lack of resources for technology in the classroom, students are losing out on so much that it has to offer to them.
I teach three sections of math to almost 70 fifth grade students.
These students are in their third year of being taught common core standards and are striving to excel in their learning. Many of these students to not have access to the Internet or computer at home therefore I have to allow them class time to get their work done on the two computers I do have in 90 minutes.
My Project
Students will use these laptops to work on math programs that our district has in place such as TenMarks, and Successmaker. These programs help students succeed with math concepts and allows them to become more fluent in their development. Other programs that students will use with these laptops are Internet resources such as Zearn, Learnzillion, IxL, and so much more.
This donation would improve our classroom because it will allow students to feel success through practice and instant feedback on how they are performing.
Students will be able to soar and become confident in their math skills helping them succeed in middle school.
