This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a wonderful, gifted class of amazing second grade students in an K- 8 center IB Magnet school located in Miami-Dade County. My students are all about why, how, where and when. They are truly and engaged group of students. Unfortunately, without monetary support, the students and I will be left without a class laptop. My students thrive on learning and technology and truly eager to learn. They are constantly asking questions, so I turn to technology as much as possible for an additional engagement since not all homes have these resources.
My Project
My students are full of imagination and find inspiration in so many things each day. With this Dell laptop, students can research and create a variety of designs in our classroom. They will be able to research and create beautiful artwork and display it on bulletin boards.
These materials will combine art and technology in our classroom!
Having a computer in the classroom would make a world of difference because it can help students access other resources and create art on a computer application. It will be a great way for students to learn about and experience a new form of technology.
