My students need to have access to technology where they can safely work on interactive learning sites that are meeting their individual learning requirements.
At Sikes elementary, we are home to wonderfully diverse students with the potential for greatness. Our school is a reflection of the melting pot neighborhoods by which we reside. Our students come from many backgrounds and walks of life, each unique and enriching. This year I will be fortunate enough to work in an inclusion classroom teaching first grade. My goal is to help these students thrive at their own, individualized, pace while embracing their needs and celebrating what makes them unique.
My Project
These tablets will allow for more opportunities to work in web based programs, designed to facilitate each students individual needs. As a class, we will rotate the use of these tablets so that each student has the ability to work online each day.
These items will be used for multiple subject areas and research projects throughout the year.
By giving them access in a safe environment, we are able to give each student the opportunity to experience technology for academic purposes.
Our classroom is a diverse group of students. They are all unique in how they learn and how fast they learn. These tablets will help me, as their teacher, meet their needs at the level that best suits them.
