it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students need access to technology to create, share their learning, and practice skills.
My kindergartners are eager and excited learners.
Every opportunity and tool offered to them or available for their use is greeted with great enthusiasm. Almost all of my students are in families which face significant financial challenges. Upon meeting them, however, one would never guess their circumstances. Students and their families are very involved at our school, attending PTA meetings, volunteering, and helping in our habitat.
My Project
Kindergartners are creative, bright individuals. These five Chromebooks will allow my students to do a variety of things necessary in their lives. Many do not have access to computers, and they need to learn to use them. Those basic skills are only the beginning. By using these computers, my students will be able to create stories by recording themselves and illustrating their words, record their ideas and questions for their classmates' responses, and independently practice important skills.
Access to technology is critical for students today.
They need to know how to use computers in order to be successful in school and later in life. In addition, there are educational opportunities only available through technology. My students have shown me their amazing creative skills. I can only imagine what they will be able to do with these computers.
