This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"It shouldn't matter how slowly a child learns as long as we are encouraging them not to stop."
At our school we believe that our students come to us with diverse backgrounds that challenge everyday learning. However, as a community we believe that working together all of our students will learn!
My students face challenges inside and outside the classroom.
They face socioeconomic barriers limiting the amount of fundamental technological resources available to them in an interconnected world. I do not wish my students to utilize their background as a crutch for failure but as a catalyst for success! These Chromebooks would offer my students tools in which they can express their creativity, capture their engagement, and build their appetite for knowledge. At our elementary school we believe that "ALL CHILDREN ARE CAPABLE OF SUCCESS... NO EXCEPTIONS!"
My Project
Students will participate in many technology based activities that include research, presentations, and digital communication. It will teach them to work in real world environments that will allow for them to become problem solvers. Research, presentations, and digital communication will go beyond our classroom and into our communities, country, and world.
The project will provide our students with an upper hand in being prepared for the 21st Century.
They will learn skills that can be beneficial to them at school, home, and in their careers. It will allow for learning to go beyond classroom textbooks. It will also provide them with the advantages of learning about the bigger picture they are a part of.
