My Students
My kindergartners are full of excitement for learning. They love coming to school each day and soak up all the learning they can get. They all come from Washington, D.C. and have chosen this school to ensure success! With your help, we can get them there!
In my classroom, there are 27 inspiring students.
They are caring, loving, and have a thirst for knowledge. They come to school each day with a big smile on their faces, spreading happiness to all those around them. The school itself is in a high poverty are in the nation's capital. It is a high performing charter school where students always come first!
My Project
Teachers all over the world are using technology to boost student learning. It increases engagement and opens up many new doors and resources for the students. My students deserve the same resources in our classroom. A projector and a document camera will allow us to read a variety of unique texts including newspapers, magazines, and on-line texts by projecting them for all the children to see. Another fantastic learning tool is educational videos. Having a projector will give us access to these videos which will help us reach even more students and make the content accessible to all. The document camera is also a video camera with a microphone which would allow my students to create, read, and share their own stories with the class. Right now we are studying presidents and with a projector, we could take a virtual tour of the white house together. The possibilities are endless!
Technology is such a big part of the world today and it is essential for students to have successful futures.
My students would benefit in so many ways from a projector and document camera. They will be able to explore the wonders that technology has to offer our classroom community. We will be able to bring our classroom into the 21st century!
