Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are well-rounded, driven, hardworking individuals who give without expecting much in return. My beautiful students are very bright, loving, and have a passion for learning but lack the necessary resources needed to be successful in our world today. As a new teacher, I want to provide my students with the ability to learn and grow to their maximum capacity. The learners in my classroom show me every day why I am a teacher. My students are the light of this world and will go on to do amazing things.
This project will help support many students within our school with the proper resources in order to be successful.
My class, as well as many others within the school, are struggling with logging onto our online platform of Google Classroom.
My students want to learn, but do not have the resources to do so. They are intelligent, capable, and loving individuals who are eager to perform well academically. The students are life long learners who have developed a love for learning. This project will fund the necessary resources needed for the students to continue their learning remotely as well as in the classroom.
My Project
Teaching in a urban area of East Harlem, my students have not had the privilege to explore the world outside of New York. My goal for my students is that they grow up outside of their city; that they see the world is their oyster and it's at their fingertips. Through the use of these Chromebooks, my students will be able to go beyond the four walls outside the classroom.
My students are eager to learn but lack resources.
Incorporating technology would increase their motivation and eagerness. They are very curious about the world around them and take any opportunity to explore beyond what they know.
These computers will be used to create an engaging and motivating learning environment. They will be used to conduct research, promote higher level learning, take spelling tests, listen to reading that is on each student's individual level, use math programs, connect with other students within out school community, and offer the students a change to gain independence.
Due to the lack of technology resources within my school, I am afraid my students will be at a disadvantage. It is vital for my students to stay connected, engaged, and motivated which can be achieved through these computers.
