This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like in school when you were not able to see the board clearly? Or the teacher's example just did not match your example on your paper. Well, a document camera can fix that problem for my third graders.
I have a total of sixty third graders that I am teaching.
They are in two classes of 30 students. They attend a charter school in the Southern California area. The third graders have an eagerness to learn and are very talented in the arts. However, at their school, technology has not been a priority. The classrooms and students are behind in current technology equipment for student and teacher use.
My Project
The two document cameras that I am requesting are essential to the education of my third grade scholars. They will have access to new technology in their classrooms. My scholars will be able to read language arts, math, science, and social studies documents in full color with these images being projected on a screen for all students to have access to. This document reader will also benefit my school and their lack of paper and ink to make copies. There will be less paper usage due to the document cameras projecting images that would have typically been copied for each student to observe.
These document readers are extremely important to my third graders because their main focus is to attend the top colleges and Universities.
These document readers will give them access to new technology and materials that they may not have had access to without these document readers.
