My Students
Our third grade class is made up of an amazing group of students including ESL, gifted, special needs, and dyslexic children. Our school is in a high poverty school district. Funds are often not available for extra materials needed in the classroom.
Many of our students are at-risk and receive free or reduced price lunches.
Often they come to school without the supplies needed for class. In spite of these hardships, they are eager to learn and absorb information like sponges.
Their futures are bright, and they work hard to learn the things they need to know in order to be successful. These students love coming to school and being with their peers. Every day they come into class ready to learn something new and excited!
My Project
In our class we have students who are not able to use technology outside of the school setting. These chrome books will give students the opportunity to use technology in the classroom daily. During our Daily 5 reading time students can use the chromebook to listen to reading or do a variety of word work activities online. Anything from Boom Cards to Tumblebooks. Students will also use them during Math stations to do fact practice, math practice games and more. They will be able to do science and social studies research and use the QR reader to do a variety of activities. These chrome books will provide so many opportunities for my students to use technology in the classroom.
