This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
3K and pre-k students are a joy to watch!! They are full of laughter, excitement, curiosity and exploration! This age is all about discovery, social-emotional development and growth. They love to learn and get so excited when they find something that they can do independently!
When they are given the tools and guidance needed, they instantly flourish in so many ways!
Not only do they learn using hands on materials, but technology plays a role in supporting their development and academics as well.
My Project
The 3K and pre-k students would greatly benefit from having technology in their classrooms. Being that they are the youngest students in our building, they unfortunately have to wait the longest to receive technology materials. Rather than wait, it would be so beneficial for them to have a tablet in the classroom and jump start their learning right from the beginning! It is also crucial for them to begin learning how to implement technological devices and resources in their learning as early as possible, so they can be prepared when they begin their grade school career.
Having an iPad in the classroom will contribute to developing and improving the children's vocabulary and mathematics skills, as well as boosting language use and social interactions.
Being that we are in a world of technology, so many resources that can positively impact their academics and social-emotional development are now digital. Many students who speak different languages can have an opportunity to learn a new language, as well as foster their home language. Our children can also interact with their families and people all around the world using digital platforms to communicate with others.
