The technology that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
The iPad and laptop will be used to assist my class of Special Education students in bringing the lessons to life.
Many of my students are nonverbal and can only access and participate in the daily activities if they have a device to give them a voice.
Many of my students require the work to be read to them and allow them to answer using touch. My other students require a larger screen to assist them with visual disabilities as well as meeting their communication needs.
Every student, no matter what their disability, deserves to be able to access the curriculum.
By implementing these tools, my students will begin to see themselves as active members of the class as well as society. This will give them a voice and access to the work, when they don't have one. My class of first and second graders are the most loving students and deserve the same chances to succeed as the general education population. I know that with the chance to fully access the curriculum and have a voice throughout the day, my students will thrive. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long learners. I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
