This year I have the privilege of teaching an amazing group of diverse students who are kind, dedicated, and hardworking. Many of my students come from low income families and must take a long bus ride to and from school on a daily basis. Despite the distance they must travel to school, we currently hold the fourth grade trophy for the highest percentage of attendance of all the fourth grade classes at our school; that's what I call dedication!
My fourth grade students are committed to developing 21st Century Skills by learning to communicate, collaborate, and think critically.
My Project
The use of technology in our classroom will allow students to practice skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills that are necessary for college and career readiness. Students will be able to use the Chromebooks both individually and in cooperative groups to develop these 21st Century Skills.
Individually, students will be able to develop essential skills by utilizing various online programs that have been purchased by our school to practice math, science, reading fluency and comprehension, and typing.
In cooperative groups, students will be able to collaborate to complete projects and tasks that require online research and they will be able to create presentations to share or present their findings.
