This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently teach at a school-wide Title I school, and as such, all children receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite the lack of resources and challenges students face on a daily basis, they are an energetic and enthusiastic group. They come to school each day eager to learn new things and apply the skills they have been taught. Due to limited funding, certain materials and resources necessary to enhance the curriculum are not readily available to them.

My Project

I am requesting a MacBook Pro so that I will be able to connect to my classroom’s Apple TV - which will make it possible for me to teach from anywhere in the room. I can share digital lessons that I have created for my students, display educational games/apps, and model the appropriate use of technology in order to grow students' digital citizenship skills. Now, more than ever, it is essential that teachers have access to new and updated technological resources (such as the Macbook Pro) in order to reach all learners!
