My students need five iPads at a minimum in order to have access to the general education curriculum using current technology.

My Students
My school is a Title I school that serves socioeconomically disadvantaged students. All of the students receive free lunches. Because the school does not have sponsors who can financially support the students, we only have one set of iPads for the whole school to use. It is difficult for our class to use the school's one set of iPads because they are in high demand. In addition to being in a low socioeconomic school, the students with disabilities in my classrooms are not exposed to technology on a daily basis that would benefit their learning experiences.
My Project
Donations to this project will give students with disabilities and other students from low income families the opportunity to work with technology on a daily basis in our classroom. It would also allow students with disabilities to work with computer applications that would benefit their learning and give them access to the general education curriculum. The iPads would improve their lives by allowing them to work with specific applications that are connected to the Georgia Standards of Excellence. The implementation of this technology in the classroom may increase the students' test scores and encourage the students to strive for more.
