My students need these Chromebooks to work on district approved websites such as Imagine Learning. These Chromebooks will also help students to explore and research specified topics.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This upcoming school year I will be a second grade teacher in a MTSS friendly classroom. I will be teaching up to 30 students who will all bring something different to the classroom. My students are energetic, caring, challenging and hard-working. Our school is a low-income school that provides 100% of students with free breakfast and lunches. There are many needs to be met in the classroom and many times the materials are not in the building.
Extra technology within my classroom would enhance everyday learning.
Our students enjoy coming to school each day, but they really enjoy using the computers in the lab when it is their turn. The reason for this? Many of my students do not have an opportunity to use a computer or tablet at home, which makes this project even more important for them and to me. I would love for my students to have the opportunities to learn with technology in our classroom so that they are not limited by their visits to our computer lab. Headphones will also help my students focus on the work in front of them as opposed to being distracted by noises around the classroom.
My Project
The resources that I have chosen for my project will not only enhance the learning of a few students but it will help reach all of them. My students enjoy the versatility of learning centers and having a technology center would add to our daily routine. Many students come in below grade level and having the resources in our room will help them grow academically.
