This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose," said Dr. Seuss. We want to steer toward up-to-date technology. It is the way of the future and we want to explore it in second grade.

They come from an impoverished area, where opportunities are limited.

I love helping my students reach their full potential. My students are hard-working, energetic, eager-to-learn students. They are excited about every new topic I present to them. We learn lessons that go beyond standards, lessons that are useful for growth throughout life. I have never seen such caring and loving students. They are always eager to please their teacher, and it seems like pleasing me in return makes them happy.

My Project

Having an iPad in my class will bring relevance to just about any academic topic in Science, enhancing my students' learning skills. This iPad will be used effectively in the classroom and my students will be able to receive a high quality education that will prepare them to be active citizens, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. Having this iPad in our classroom will allow us to use our new science program and science content. We will be able to implement learning strategies using virtual options allowing every student to be fully engaged in every lesson. The inflatable globe will be used during our social studies class so they can learn about the world. The iPad cover will help protect the iPad, seeing that students will be using it during science centers.

This project will help my students in many ways.

I thank you in advance for helping me reach our goal ahead of time. Donating to my project will help my students to engage in new technology.
