Technology for Reading and Math

My students need 6 tablets to support English Language learners in reading and math, classroom and project supplies in order to show their content knowledge in a creative way.

My Students

My 4th grade ESOL class is comprised of 28 culturally diverse students. Many come from homes where English is their second language. Their families have a respect for education and understand that it is the key to obtaining the life they dreamed of.

Despite their circumstances, my students are willing to work hard to achieve the goals they set for themselves!

They are curious, inquisitive, and eager to learn. They are highly motivated to apply what they learn to navigating the world around them.

My Project

My students will be using the Kindle Fire tablets to enhance and support Reading, Math, and Science curriculum. They will be able to access research based programs to improve their reading skills and math increase math levels.

The Ipevo Ziggi-HD Plus High-Definition USB Document Camera is useful for interactive learning and bringing the textbook alive!

Some students are visual learners and this camera will assist them in seeing the skills broken down in step by step algorithms.

Classroom supplies, such as construction paper, markers, and glue will be used for extention projects and discovery based learning opportunities. Students can show content knowledge in inventive and creative ways.
