Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an amazing group of students! They are compassionate and welcoming to everyone. My students have been able to create an incredible sense of community. They all come from different backgrounds and have made great bonds with each other.
This group of students is kind, generous and very helpful.
They are always eager to find out what new concepts they will be learning about. They are respectful and take into consideration the opinions of others. They are awesome kids!
My Project
I am in need of a laptop to be able to provide my students quality instruction. I am currently using my own MacBook, but unfortunately it is not as reliable as I would hope. Running Zoom all day long is taking its toll on my computer. This laptop will make a difference for my students by having giving me a reliable connection. I will also be able to create resources for my students, including PowerPoint slides for all our math lessons and science units.
During distance learning, I have been meeting with my students daily and we have been live on Zoom for a minimum of 120 minutes.
I have had technical issues but thankfully my students have been so patient! This laptop will help me with daily instruction so my students can meet their learning goals from home. I will be able to create slides that go along with our current math and science unit that I can then share with students. These slides will help students refer back to the lessons we do live together so they can go over anything they might not have understood and ask me specific questions the next day!
