Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Technology has become an integral part of our students' daily lives. So, why not incorporate it into our PE classes as well? Our students are learning about health-related fitness components and how to develop their own personal health and fitness goals. We often make use of outdoor spaces to do different activities and sports. Carrying Chromebooks or Laptops to record data is not always the most practical way to accomplish this, as they are heavy and cumbersome.
Having Samsung tablets that can be easily taken outdoors, would make it easier for students to keep track of their fitness goals, access information, and keep scores on the go.
The tablets are lighter, easier to carry, and provide students with quick access to their records and track their progress. Teachers can also make use of them to quickly access students' emergency contact information if needed. Having portable technology that students and teachers can use, will greatly support student learning, and instruction, as well as provide our students with a fun way to access information on the go, making learning more interesting as they work towards reaching their goals.
