Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are all Title 1 within the NYC Department of Education. Technology budgets have been slashed and our school, even though Title 1 does not receive the necessary funding to supply all students with basic laptops or Chromebooks. Students are required to access online curriculum through Google Work Space but do not have the computer resources necessary to succeed and progress their learning. My kids are the most grateful humans I have ever met. My students come from nothing yet they persevere and never give up when it comes to their learning. They will be using the 4 Galaxy Laptops as their main learning device. The IPAD will be used by our special needs students during project based learning lessons.
