Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Spanish for Native Speakers to 120 students in the Worcester District. The vast majority of my students come from low-income household. Access to technology is very limited. It is extremely important that we prepare our student s for the careers of the future. Technology must be embedded in their educations. We are in need of about 10 more chromebooks.

We have a lot of projects throughout the year, projects that can be completed in class.

We also use the website Quizlet for vocabulary practice. With these minicomputers in class, they will be able to work on different written assignments in the classroom. Many of my students do not have technology at home; having these computers will truly help them. Thank you for your help!

My Project

Last year, my students and I were very lucky to be funded for seven (7) Dell Chromebooks. But it was n to enough. We need more. With this project, my kids will be able to do research in pairs, write essays using Google Docs, create Google Slides for each unit projects, create Venn diagrams before having weekly debates. In addition, for those students that do not have a computer or tablet at home, they can continue taking home a Chromebook, as they did last year. They were so grateful to you for having that opportunity.

My underserved kids deserve the best education and techology resources.

Having 10 more Dell Chromebooks in class will also help me to easily embed technology in all my lessons and work interactively. On behalf of my students, thank you for your help.
