My Students
My students are incredibly hardworking and creative. Our elementary school campus places an emphasis on the fine arts. In addition to their daily classroom expectations, our students are dedicated to our award-winning band, orchestra, art car and much, much more!
Our school is located in Houston, Texas and is still in the process of recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
Our student population is very diverse with over a third of our students from low-income households. My students are so curious and creative and utilizing technology will only enhance their love of learning and discovery.
My Project
Many of my students continue to deal with the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. After experiencing such a loss, it is important to have a supportive and caring atmosphere to grow academically. Having Chromebooks available will provide a vast amount of experiences not accessible to my students without these amazing devices. My students will be able to fully utilize our district and campus math programs during our math workstations. Many of these students lack the ability to work with these programs because they do not have online access at home or the necessary devices. The Chromebooks will allow my students to have a variety of content at their finger tips as well as provide personalized learning. By allowing my students the ability to learn at their own level and pace, we can continue to strive grow as lifelong learners.
