Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are English language learners. Their ages range from 14 to 17 year old. They are new comers to our country. Their English proficiency ranges from beginning to intermediate level.
Purchasing an Ipad for my students will give them access to reading material in English and Spanish which helps increase their reading fluency and comprehension
My Project
The use of the ipad is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. The ipad will allows me to show math examples and teach math lessons projecting on the big screen. This benefits my visual learners.
The ipad and the headphones will help my English language learners read English and listen to English.
Which meets the common core standard SL.9-10.1. It will also allow them access grade level curriculum which they are very excited about. The use of the head phone with the ipad will allow students to work in group. Which its important because due to Covid they been excluded and need socialization.
