My Students
In my AP Environmental Science class, students are required to utilize technology to complete all assignments and presentations. By having and using the MacBook Air, students will be able to effectively reach achievement in the AP Environmental Course.
The MacBook Air is necessary to help integrate technology into the classroom, since it’s at the forefront of the technology spectrum, which will ensure its effectiveness across the board.
The MacBook Air has proved to be reliable, user friendly and efficient. Using the MacBook Air, the students will be able to collaborate with me on different formats of media, communications and presentations which will ensure the enrichment of their learning environment in the classroom in preparation for the Advanced Placement Environmental Science exam. My students typically do not have access to technology.
My Project
Students will have projects where they will need to explore and investigate the interrelationships of the natural world, identify and analyze environmental problems, both natural and human-made, evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them and by way of the MacBook Air, they’ll be able to do so since my classroom lacks computers. They will also be able to utilize the MacBook Air to present the projects, which will show their findings and possible solutions to the issues in the environment. The Apple MacBook Air will help students in laboratory and field investigations to apply scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies in order to better understand our natural systems and to critically think about environmental issues and potential solutions.
The effectiveness of the MacBook Air within my classroom will be evident by media presentations such as pictures, videos, and interactive displays (imovie, prezi, PowerPoint, etc) which will help them pass the AP Environmental Science Exam and will allow the students to receive college course credit in high school.
