My Students
"Why are we here?" is what I always ask my second-grade students every day. They always answer with a resounding, "To do our best and learn something new!" as they enter my class with smiles on their tiny faces.

Even though we have to cater to and adapt to such a diverse range of learning needs, we strongly believe that all children will learn if given the right tools and technology. As their second grade teacher, my main objective is to enhance and improve their young learning experiences, especially when it pertains to their learning environment.
My Project
With these materials, I hope to make the learning environment exciting and fun for each student, while ensuring that they are learning beyond their capabilities. My students will utilize the laptops to complete math programs such as iReady (Reading and Math), Reflex Math, and in-class activities. The students will also utilize to laptop to complete research-based projects and in-class activities through the use of those laptops. I will also use the touchscreen laptop to teach whole and small group instruction and individualize one to one instruction. These laptops will help them build their math and reading skills through using educational apps to enhance and expand their learning. For these students, computer-based instruction can play a pivotal role. Implementing computer-based technology facilities a broader range of educational activities to meet a variety of needs.
